Neuschwanstein Castle tickets! According to many "one of the most beautiful castles in the world. Therefore on the wish list to visit for lot of people!

Six weeks after the death of King Ludwig II in 1886, Neuschwanstein was opened to the public. Nowadays for every visitor, a visit to the castle is like entering a fairytale. The castle is situated on top of the mountain with a beautiful view over the landscape.

Neuschwanstein is a popular castle and therefore it is recommended to buy your tickets in advance. The Castle is located near Füssen where you need transportation to Hohenschwangau and the castle itself (located on a hill).

What is included in your tickets?
  • Shuttle bus to Marienbrücke for a unique picture moment of the castle. Please note that Mary's bridge is closed during the winter time due snow and ice "NO ACCESS TO THE BRIDGE ". In addition, the shuttle bus is not running for the same reasons. You need to walk up to the castle.
  • Experienced guide in English that will guide you to the Castle, Marienbrücke and will tell you about Bavaria, the life of Ludwig and Neuschwanstein Castle
  • The guide will pick up your tickets for the castle so you don´t have to spend time at the Ticket Centre (which is mandatory for any other visitor that books tickets)

Wearing a face mask can be required.
Distance between visitors is obligatory.

What to do when you travel by group (above 9 persons)?

It is important not to book directly but to send an email to [email protected] with your request (amount of people, when you want to visit). Group bookings can departure on different times and days and we need more information which is required by Neuschwanstein when we make a group booking. Please contact us (put ´Group Booking Neuschwanstein´ in the subject of your email) and we will guide you through the process. 

What is important to know?

  • When you visit the castle you will participate (obligatory) to an English guided tour of 35 minutes. This is an official guide of Neuschwanstein itself and not the guide that guided you around the Castle.
  • When the guided tour in the castle is over you have the possibility to spend your day at Hohenschwangau and visit the beautiful surrounding. You will receive a PDF with extra information of what to see. You can take the bus or taxi back to Füssen. 
  • The Castle is not wheelchair accessible.

How does it work when making the reservation?

Select the date you want to visit Neuschwanstein. The bus will depart near Central Station. When you have completed the reservation you will get a ticket with the following information:

1. Exact departure location
2. Map of the departure location
3. Contact details of the local contact
4. Itinerary of the day
5. What to do when you want to travel by car to Neuschwanstein and when you want to meet the local contact at Neuschwanstein

How does it work on the day itself?

Departure:  
  • 9.30h: at Hohenschwangau/Neuschwanstein 
On your ticket, you can find the contact details of the supplier and the map of where to find the guide.

At Hohenschwangau, the guide will tell you about Ludwig, Bavaria and Neuschwanstein. You will drive by shuttle bus to the Marienbrücke. This is the best angle to take pictures of the castle and at the same time to enjoy the nature around you. 

At Neuschwanstein, you will be guided by a different guide for 35 minutes in English. When the tour is over you can discover Hohenschwangau yourself or take a taxi/bus back to Füssen (not included). 

Departure time:

  • 9.30h: at Hohenschwangau/Neuschwanstein 
Please be there on time. We recommend being there 15 minutes prior to departure. When you are too late please contact the guide by calling him. He will instruct you on what to do. No shows will not be refunded. 

Duration:

2-3 hours. Make sure you have the time the entire morning for your visit. 

How to get from Füssen Central Station to Hohenschwangau:

When you arrive at Füssen Station just follow the sign to the bus stop (1 minute from the train platform). Take bus 78 to the castle. It leaves 9.05 am and the ride is 7 - 10 minutes. Once you get out of the bus at Hohenschwangau, you go the P3 sign (across from the bus station in Hohenschwangau). Meet your guide there to start your tour. 

P.S if you have Bayern ticket for the train, you can use the bus from Fuessen to Hohenschwangau for free. If you have another kind of train ticket, you need to buy the bus ticket from the bus driver for a few euro. 


Do not take your tickets to the Ticket Centre or Neuschwanstein your tickets will not be accepted.
